Inspired by the most recent Woman’s Day magazine cover, I made myself a festive fall centerpiece.
These are some of the monsters I grew in my garden this year. I had these overgrown summer squash displayed with my pumpkins for Halloween, but I thought they could use a little spiffing up for Thanksgiving.
All it took was a little bit of paint.
First, I sprayed them with white paint. Then, using a brush, I painted the stems gold. Finally, I splattered on a little more gold paint.
I really like the natural look of the twisty stems. ![]()
