Fall Garden Centerpiece

Fall CenterpieceInspired by the most recent Woman’s Day magazine cover, I made myself a festive fall centerpiece.  Monster SquashThese are some of the monsters I grew in my garden this year.  I had these overgrown summer squash displayed with my pumpkins for Halloween, but I thought they could use a little spiffing up for Thanksgiving.  Garden Fall Centerpiece All it took was a little bit of paint.Thanksgiving CenterpieceFirst, I sprayed them with white paint.  Then, using a brush, I painted the stems gold.  Finally, I splattered on a little more gold paint.   Fall Garden CenterpieceI really like the natural look of the twisty stems.    Squash Centerpiece

What’s on your table this fall season?

  1. Great idea. I can't believe you grew those in your garden. I love how you repurposed them from Halloween to Thanksgiving.

I'd love to have you and your fall centerpiece join my meme Seasonal Sundays. The link is open until late Monday night. Hope to see you!

  2. Beautiful. I'm enjoying the color changes as we head into Thanksgiving and the Holidays. I'm going to add to my list for next year…Try to grow gigantic squash.
