Why Partner with My Backyard Eden?

October 30, 2010

I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to promote businesses that I believe in.  I will only accept advertising for products that I would enjoy, and things I think my readers would be interested in as well.

My readers and I share a love of all things creative and home related.  Topics include:

  • DIY projects and tutorials
  • Sewing and creative projects
  • Cooking and recipes
  • Turning a house into a home on a budget
  • Yard sale and Thrift shop finds and makeovers
  • Garden projects

Take a peek at these stats:

My Backyard Eden is growing quickly and consistently.  Page views, new followers, and blog rankings increase month after month, offering your business increasingly more exposure.

    • 1,100+ page views a day
    • 1,400+ subscribers through feed reader and email
    • 880+ followers
    • 800+ twitter followers
    • 200+ participants in my weekly "Make It Yours Day" creative link party
    • Fresh, fun, new content is posted 4 to 5 times a week so readers come back regularly to see what’s new
    • Sunday Sweepstakes:  A weekly link party organized by category where folks around the blogosphere stop by to list their giveaways and enter to win.

I offer a variety of advertising options:

    1. Small Sidebar Ad – For Etsy Sellers, Big Cartel Shops and Small Businesses
A 125px by 125px ad on the sidebar. Ads will be rotated every week for maximum exposure.
           30 day spot:   $10
           90 day spot:   $25

    2. Large Sidebar Ad – For Etsy Sellers, Big Cartel Shops and Small Businesses
A 250px by 125px ad on the sidebar. Ads will be rotated every week for maximum exposure.
           30 day spot:   $15
           90 day spot:   $35

    3. Sponsor A Week’s Worth of Posts
A "sponsored by" tag with your link and button or logo displayed boldly at the end of posts.  This option allows your ad to be seen by all readers, including the 1200+ readers who subscribe to My Backyard Eden through a feed reader or email.  This advertising costs $10 per week (a minimum of four posts).  The cool thing about this option is that your link remains in my posts forever, even after they’re archived.   This can help improve those ever important search engine rankings.

    4. Giveaway Post
Giveaways are a great way to drive new visitors to your site.   Giveaway items must be approved by me and must be worth at least $25.  If you are a current sponsor, there is no product minimum for a giveaway.

    5. Product Review
I’m also happy to review your product and write up a review post.   The cost for this promotion is $10 and includes a 30 day small sidebar ad.

    6. Have an idea you'd like to pitch to me?
I am open to other ideas as long as they're in line with the spirit of this blog.  Email me and we can chat (mybackyardeden@gmail.com).

    1. I'm loving your new blog look! I usually read in Google Reader and haven't been to your actual blog site for a while. Did you do it yourself or hire someone? It has a very clean look. I'm loving it!

Glad to hear you had such a great time in Seattle a few weeks ago. It was great weather for you!
