Sometimes It’s the Little Things

April 9, 2010

That can make you smile.

I had a bin full of thread that looked like this:
big thread mess

Later, thanks to my sweet 11 year old daughter, I have this:
Rainbow Thread Organization

Not only did she untangle everything and cut off all the long straggly threads that had made a big mess, but she organized my thread by the colors of the rainbow!

R O Y  G. B I V !

So much better!  It’s amazing how such a small thing can really give you a boost.

Did you organize anything this week?

  1. what a sweet girl. I think my thread bin looks like the before shot.

  2. Sweet daughter you have there:) Hope you both have a FUN weekend!

  3. What a nice daughter. I admit, I would have done the same thing as a young girl. Messy has never been my thing!

    Thanks for stopping by AtticMag.

  4. Tell your daughter I have a drawer full that needs organizing too. She's welcome to come here and take care of that for me. She did a great job. Thank you for sharing your family with us. I am your newest follower and that was even before I started reading your blog. Everything in your header I was interested in.
Have a great day and God Bless!!!

  5. How awesome of her, i recently did that to my thread all by myself though and was it a pain!

lets see, I organized the mail and coupons off my counters :)

  6. That's great. Thanks for sharing!
I recently posted about a free report I wrote with ways to help others grow their blogs if your interested. You can find it at
    Blogger Chix Designs

  7. Awwww, what a sweet thing of her to do! Can she organize my cross stitching floss? It's become a giant floss wad!

Dropping in from New Friend Friday, have a great weekend:)

  8. How sweet - you are a blessed Mom.

  9. Oh my! I think I love you.

  10. Sweet girl...lucky mom! I yearn for thread organization.

  11. What a sweet sweet daughter you've raised!

  12. Too sweet! I thought I'd ask your opinion on a remodeling project we're doing. I'm building an exercise room (kind of small 10x15 with one large curved wall (curved convex into the room) and I wanted to get your opinion on what to make/do with that wall.

It's all studs right now, but if a picture would be helpful, I could email it. I just love the stuff you make and thought you may have some great ideas.

I will have weights, a treadmill, and a bike (in winter only) in the room. Thanks for your advice and keep up the awesome designing!! Love it!

  13. That is a daughter that loves her mom and has a neat streak! Two awesome qualities! You're a lucky mom! Have a great week!

  14. It sounds like you've got a great daughter! Unfortunately, I don't think my toddler is ready for quite a task...

  15. Oh, what a nice daughter! You've raised her well :-)

Thank you for stopping by my blog, I'm your newest follower, and I'm excited to read more of your blog. Have a great week!
