Here’s the before:
It wasn’t the worst bathroom ever. 11 years ago I had done a faux ragging paint technique that I loved at the time, but now seemed really old and tired. Everything was rust or brown ~ too dark for my taste today.

Here’s a look back at my bathroom transformation.
I decorated with vintage silver.
I made a new extra long shower curtain.
I covered up an ugly tissue box with a fabric cover.
I learned to use power tools and installed some great trim.
I used spray paint to spruce up a bargain mirror.
I salvaged a broken down medicine cabinet.
I transformed an old cabinet door with towel hooks.
I tried my hand at installing bead board wall paper.
I refinished my bathroom vanity with a sleek black stain.
Finally, I made a new version of Our Family Rules.

I love it! I thought it looked great before and it looks great after. I was hoping I'd see some new house projects. :) I did the same thing with an old mirror in our bathroom. And I love it.

ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic makeover! Bravo! Actually, I thought your "before" photo was nice, but then I REALLY liked your "after" shots. My faves are the drawer/towel hook transformation and the family rules. AWESOME!

ReplyDeleteI love the beadboard wallpaper and the Family Rules! Great additions in there. I'll be interested to see how well the wallpaper holds up to the wear-and-tear and moisture in the bathroom. I really want to try it in my house but want to check with others who've gone before me! Great job.

WOW. You did a LOT! I can't believe you did trim and I didn't know there was bead board wall paper..I'm going to look for that. Maybe I can even put some hooks on a cabinet door..I'm great at copying..thanks for the inspiration..
