My entryway table was always stacked sky high with mountains of assorted stuff. Not the greatest first impression when people come over. I started looking around for some type of coat rack that I could use to hang up my purse, dog leash, hats, and the various mysterious stuff that finds its way to my entry. Kids, dogs and husbands…Oh the messes they make. I couldn’t find anything that I liked in my price range (!cheap!), so I decided I’d make one.

We used to have this old leaded window hanging in an opening between our dining room and entryway. We did a renovation last year that removed the wall (which I love), but this old window lost its home (which I hated). I’ve been trying to figure out a way to get this baby back in the house for a while now.

I gave the painted wood frame a quick sanding and then a couple of coats of my favorite friend, spray paint. This happens to be Rustoleum “Heirloom White”. Love this color!

Then I flipped it over and attached a couple of these ring hanger hooks. They work great to hang heavy things. You just have to make sure you have enough clearance in the wood to put a screw in.
I found these beautiful oil rubbed bronze coat hooks at Home Depot for $3.00 each. Screwed them in, hung it up, and it’s ready to go.
I like it!
Since I already had the spray paint, it cost under $15.
And the best part: I’ve reclaimed my entry table! Doesn’t this look just a bit more inviting?I'm linking back to Shanty2Chic's "Rust-oleum Revamp Party.
